I was too tired to get into this yesterday. But now there are some proper quotes from Mila Kunis’ interview with British Glamour September 2011. And I’m pretty sure she calls you fat in her latest interview. Yes, you. And, yes, I can smack her in the moneymaker for you… that’ll be about three fiddeh. The 27-year-old lost 20lbs to play an irritating sociopath ballerina in Black Swan. And she tells the British Glamour interviewer if you say you can’t lose weight, you’re a liar.
- On transforming her body for Black Swan: ‘I don’t think I ever fully realised what a human body is capable of doing. But I think I was also, in a beautiful way, incredibly naïve. I believed I could do anything. I never for one moment thought that I couldn’t do it. I believe in hard work. In self-drive and self-worth.’
- On why you’re a fatty and a liar: ‘I’m a huge foodie, I love food. But when people say, ‘I can’t lose weight’, no no no, you can. Your body can do everything and anything, you just have to want to do it.’
- On your body being ready, and hers not: ‘[Winning the Spike TV’s Guys’ Choice award this summer for the Holy Grail of Hot was] insane. Listen, I couldn’t be happier to get any of this, because I think it’s hysterical and it makes all my friends laugh. If somebody finds me attractive, God bless them, I think it’s fantastic.’
- On the industry of looks: ‘I’m in an industry based on rejection. On negativity and let-downs. People are rejected every single day purely based on opinion, about who’s a good actress, who’s a bad actress, who’s pretty, who’s ugly, who’s fat, who’s skinny. So why go there? You have to have a positive outlook. Otherwise you’re in a very dark place.’
- On whether she’s banging Justin Timberlake: ‘[Rumours are] an unfortunate thing that comes with the circumstances, but there’s no truth to it whatsoever.’
- On whether she’s banging anyone and tabloid rumorus: ‘Being single, I find myself not being able to be in a room with a man without, the next day, I’m dating that man [according to the tabloids]. That happened for a solid six months [after Black Swan].’
- More on Justin Timberlake: ‘He’s incredibly funny, we laughed a lot on set… Humour is an amazing quality to have. I like sarcasm, satire, self-deprecating humour. But I also think there’s something to be said for not looking for anything and being pleasantly surprised.’
- On her worthless job… pretty much her words: ‘No one’s curing cancer in this industry, remember? It’s not changing the world. It’s just entertainment, an art, a form of escapism. My friends and family are my number one thing in life, but you need a healthy balance. This is a phenomenal job, but the most important lesson I’ve learnt is that you never want to let your only source of happiness come from something that’s so filled with uncertainty.’

After this interview I have a new respect for her..
She’s not calling anyone fat, she’s just pointing out how most people make excuses for why they can’t lose weight. Because of course anyone who has weight to lose, can, you just have to eat healthy and exercise and stick with it for as long as it takes.
what’s the problem? She’s right.
I love being my age and hearing my lines repeated – what did I say when I was twenty-nine?
“Folks, this is not brain surgery! It’s a movie! Jesus!”
Oh yeah, that was said to the director, producer, and composer. Spielberg, Stone, Williams, etc.
Ahh, go ahead, Mila-whoeveryouare. Steal my lines. They were unoriginal from the git-go.
Okay, give Mila a break, she is not a doctor and doesn’t understand that there are serious medical and mental health issues that she just isn’t educated about. I am sure she wasn’t providing a medical or mental health diagnosis for folks with weight issues, she was just saying if someone is going to pay the average person a million or more dollars they will lose the weight, because short of the other conditions it can be done. I think she was just trying to not take some great credit for something she is physically able to do. That she should have credit for her acting, not her weight loss. Remember it is NOT the Harvard Medical Journal. I guess that is how I took her comment. Don’t read too much into it.
