Olympic star, Michael Phelps, has apologized for smoking marijuana; or more specifically, he is sorry for being enough of an unaware douche to get caught on film smoking pot by a tacky UK tab [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
For reasons of not wanting to be bitch-slapped by Dolphin Boy’s lawyers for libel, I withheld on posting about this annoying pile of horseshit until Phelps had admitted what he had done. And, here you have it; an apology via the AP (which is like the celebrity version of being sent to sit on the naughty step).
In a statement released to The Associated Press, Phelps said:
“I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment. I’m 23 years old and despite the successes I’ve had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again.”
Yesterday, UK tabloid News of the World published the bong picture of the swimmer, who won a record eight gold medals at the Beijing Games. No word on whether or not Phelps has been released from any of his multi-million dollar endorsement deals.
Will release more mocking details of this stupid prick as they leak…

This is sad! It’s disgusting when people aim to take others down like this. I would NEVER sell this photo, I would never take this photo. I hate haters and it’s really tragic. This has tainted his image indefinitely.
Right on the money Firecracker! All joking and smack-talking aside for a minute… I think this whole debacle has tainted MP’s image. Yet, it says more about the douche who sold him out to a tabloid!
of course everyone is frekaing about this. i’m of the belief that he made a mistake and knows it, so let’s move on, but then that would make too much sense, right?
