Michael Jackson’s death was a homicide from an overdose and repeated prescribing of Propofol. Jackson’s homicide (as opposed to accidental death) due to lethal levels of the drug in his system was reported by the LA County Coroner’s office.
This news will shock his fans, many of whom up until now either thought the death was faked, or the cause accidental. Rumours of the death being faked came from seeing Jackson’s death photo with his wig on, when he is believed to have died in his home with it off. A better, but still odd explanation is that someone, fearing the sight of him sans wig would be too shocking, took the time to put the wig on after Jackson died.
The news of this ruling is very bad for several people. Not least, his personal physician whom most of the negative spotlight has fallen onto, Dr Conrad Murray. Jackson had several examinations done on him post-mortem, to the point where they had to say enough was enough, as there was not enough left of his remains to make any further conclusions. The autopsy results found that Jackson was given a lethal dose of Propofol along with a mixture of other sedatives. The drugs were being used in a non-proper way. In particular, they were used in his home, and according to TMZ and other reports there is just no reason whatsoever that anyone should ever be allowed this. It’s hospital doses are meant for hospital uses.
Dr Murray claims to be innocent, even going on TV to try to convince people. For the most part it did little to calm people’s nerves. A body language expert, Stacy Kaiser, watched the interview with Dr. Murray and said that he showed no emotion in his voice or fluctuation in his cadence while speaking. Meaning he seemed stiff and unemotional. Others just thought the whole thing was phony. There seems to be something of a manslaughter case building against the doctor. There could also be charges against people in his office too, if they were felt to have tried to cover things up.
[Dr Murray] told investigators that he gave Jackson Propofol to help him combat insomnia. He added that he felt Jackson was becoming dependent on the drug so he was gradually weening him from it. The night before the pop star’s death he says he tried other drugs, lorazepam and midazolam, to help him sleep. At 1:30 AM he gave him Valium. When Jackson was still awake at 2:00 AM he gave him lorazepam via an IV. (Wow, to me that seems excessive already…) Then at 3:00 AM he gave Jackson midazolam when he STILL hadn’t fell asleep. Then at 10:40 AM Jackson “demanded” his “milk” a.k.a. propofol, which Murray obliged. (Celebrity Smack)
She’s totally right about the body language. There’s a muscle between the brows that moves a certain way when you smile sincerely. It wasn’t working w/his publicity vid- all you got was his mouth moving and eyelid work. Basically, you could tell it was a pretty sleazy, insincere smile.

My comp went batshit crazy today. Windows regurgitated another update and everything went caca.
Things were flying out and screaming at me. My comp started shrieking and shaking like a whore in a Pentecostal church. It was like a scene from Poltergeist. I had to fight evil demons for several hours before I got her back to her normal bitchy self. Microsoft wreaked havoc today on those that have hijacked system files to make our machines look purty.
And Michael…the minute it was announced I looked over to my SO (significant other) and whispered…”the bitch was murdered”. So no surprise there.
I WAS surprised to watch Larry King last night and find out that not only will Murray prolly be served a pair of steel Chanels (handcuffs) but MJ’s pharmacist and dermatologist need to either hire high powered counselors or point their Lamborghini’s in the direction of Tijuana.
I’m still not too clear on the pharmacist part. The dermatologist should be brought to question if he was prescribing illegal stuff, but isn’t a pharmacist’s job to fill prescriptions if they have been written by a legally acknowledged doc?

I’m with you and your SO on this one. It had to be a verdict of murder. He didn’t go into a doctors office/ hospital and snatch up the meds himself. I think the pharm. was doing their job. The people knowingly writing bogus notes for/ giving out/ misusing dangerous meds are the ones who should go to jail.
