I have to say, pretty much, I stopped covering Men’s Health magazine features when I realised they’d stopped producing as many shirtless covers. It was revealed, last year, that the magazine was light on the oiled abs because they were using their front covers as advertising space. They were putting their cover stars in assorted designer outfits along with pricing information, as though the space were just a feature from inside the magazine. It was tacky, and annoying, though a shrewed business move, and I wasn’t the only one who thought so. Moreover, it’s not like they have any decent/ original content inside, so the six packs were pretty much the only thing they had going for them. They seem to have let that slide for the September 2010 cover featuring Jason Statham, who’s promoting The Expendables. He’s balding, but I’ll take him. Any other takers?
