Michael Bay has released a statement, in which he did three things; he announced that Megan Fox will be back for Transformers 3 despite her comments about him, he announced that Transformers 3 will be released a year early, and he also misused a post-script much to the annoyance of the sticklers at NY Mag.
The most important announcement being that he managed to hold his temper and put box office first, and so not fire Megan Fox. Despite the fact that public annoyance over her rants seems to have been a factor in Jennifer’s Body being a box office bomb, it still makes financial sense to keep her in Transformers 3. She’ll bring the fan boys, who’ll get to making wet spots in the movie theatre like they’ve sprung a leak. No other actress, hired only for her looks, is going to pull that off in quite the same way.
We have a great Transformers 3 story. The release date is now July 1st 2011. Not 2012. Today is day one. This morning started with an ILM meeting for five hours in San Francisco. Currently I’m flying with writer Ehren Kruger to Rhode Island to talk to Hasbro about new characters.

And Megan Fox can’t act her way out of a paper bag. She needs to shut up and just be hot.
I hope she gets a good talking to after the mayhem of the last few weeks. She never says anything worth listening to and is ridiculous beyond measure. I’ll be crossing my fingers that she’s learnt her lesson.

Smart move on Michael Bay’s part, but you know there will be tension on the set after what she said…unless that was all part of some elaborate plot they hatched up for publicity…lol
