Mario Lopez Shows Off His One-month-old Baby

Mario Lopez has taken to the pages of OK! Let’s Make Up This Week’s Headline Magazine ™ to show off his one-month-old baby girl, Gia Francesca Lopez. The television presenter and former actor made babies with someone equally good-looking. Pretty much anyway. And that’s always a sensible idea. Girlfriend Courtney Laine Mazza gave birth last month. The couple announced they were expecting back in mid-March. Lopez and Mazza have already shared pictures of their nursery and there’s a video of them shopping for baby things and nursery decorations. Now, we get a photo too. It shows the baby, who is either asleep or unimpressed, being held up by her father. They don’t get the cover to themselves as that goes to one of the Teen Mom stars, again. They’re inset, with photos and an interview. Oh, I just realised something. There’s no real reason for him to be shirtless. Other than him holding his daughter really shows off his mus-kles (not a typo). The cover is below showing a small inset photo.

  1. The angle makes the baby look like it has Down Syndrome which is pretty messed up if it doesn’t. I agree, no reason for his shirt to be off. Not that I mind though, he’s got a great body.

I thought the exact same thing, but didn’t want to be seen as ‘picking on a baby’. So I left that out. It’s not just you, I see it too. Though, I have no idea whether the baby has any conditions.

      1. Harmony says:

Just saw Mario feature on Extra introducing his new baby. Looks like down syndrome but I don’t think they noticed the baby’s mouth, eyes and weak head? I feel bad since so many of us think it.

      2. Anita says:

Amy, aren’t you in the business of reporting the truth? Then why would you speculate something like this….. not knowing if it were true? Maybe just to make your sight get more hits! Totally shameful on your part! Please make it your business to report correct info, not incorrect speculations!

        1. Amy, aren’t you in the business of reporting the truth?

          Yes.

Which is why I didn’t blog about my suspicions. They’re irrelevant without facts, so are not mentioned in the main post.

Please make it your business to report correct info.

          I do.

It’s only in the comment section that people are discussing things outside of the main blog.

As I say in the comment above, I don’t have any idea whether or not the baby has any conditions.

Oh, and the site does fine and I wouldn’t need to lie about an infant to boost page views.

  2. Not that it’s here nor there, it’s just something I noticed immediately.

  3. Special Needs Teacher says:

I work with special needs adults and yeah, it was the first thing I noticed too.. I am hoping that if she does indeed have downs that they will show her off as if she didn’t.. because being a parent of a downs child is not a bad thing at all!!

    1. Marissa says:

First of all, all of you are total idiots! No wonder there are so many kids being bullied and committing suicide. If you are parents, you should be ashamed of yourselves and I feel sorry for your children. How dare you! I would like to see photos of you and your kids. I bet some nasty comments could easily be said. She is a beautiful and perfect child. Saying anything else is cruel and vicious.

      1. Ophelia Hynee says:

Shut the heck up miss sensetive. I think that every ones comment are right on the nose. Get over it.

  4. SinBmore says:

    Marissa,
Are you somehow related to the family? I’ve seen these posts verbatim on other sites. It’s like you’re stalking threads to defend this child. To be honest with you, the only cruel, ignorant and vicious person here is you. Why in the world would it be cruel, ignorant or vicious to say someone looks like she/he has down’s syndrome? The fact that you’ve even associated those words with down’s, just shows how you really feel about people who have it. I’m gonna call it like I see it on this one….she definitely looks like she has down’s syndrome. She’s a beautiful little girl, and down’s or not, her parents should be very happy to have her. She’s precious.

  5. Anita says:

This baby is a healthy normal beautiful 3 week old. Anyone with good sense can see that. She does not look like she has downs syndrome. Why is it anyone’s business anyway? Think about this…if you were in the public eye would you try to hide something like this? No, you would come forth with the truth. So stop speculating about things you have no knowledge of!!!!!!!!

  6. Denise says:

She does not have Downs Syndrome! Please drop it!

    1. Ophelia Hynee says:

Y do u care so much? Get a life. Go outside and fly a kite.

      1. Anita says:

Y do you care so much…….nice made up name….Ophelia Hynee….. You need to go and get a new name and a life!!!!!! Or write with your real name….coward! It’s so much fun to read these posts and see how many assholes there are in the world minding someone else’s business….a little jealous maybe?????????

  7. Anita, it’s obvious you need to get your own life together. I wonder what you’re even doing on this blog when you have so many obvious issues to work out. First, I was the one who initially stated that it looked as if the baby may have Down Syndrome (not that it matters one bit mind you), you know why? Because it does – I even stated that it may have just been the angle. Amy happened to agree, she wasn’t reporting anything as true, she even explicitly stated that she did not know if it were true which leads us to your first problem – comprehension. Second, you came blowing through here with your thoughtless accusations like some kind of furious bat straight out of hell. With the way you’re going around pouncing on everyone for stating their opinion it’s obvious you have no respect for others as well as a serious anger management issue and a psychological problem of some sort. If you need help, you may want to try a more appropriate avenue, you’re just making yourself look like an asshole here.

  8. SinBmore says:

Ophelia, did you really just say to go get a life?? You’re right here on this thread with the rest of us. Just because our opinions differ, why are you any better than us? We are merely posting on what we see. It’s the very first thing that came to my mind after seeing the photos of the baby. So why is it wrong to say? You’re basically telling all of us that having downs is horrific…that’s just not the case. Calm down, re-read the blog (because Amy never reported this child having downs), and move on.

  9. SinBmore says:

Correction to post above: The post is addressed to Anita- not Ophelia. Sorry about that Ophelia!

  10. Chelsea says:

In all the pictures and such I’ve seen of this baby, it looks as though it definitely might have Down’s Syndrome. I still think she is an adorable baby girl. But we all know how a healthy baby is supposed to look. And this baby does not fit that picture. I think most people are so interested because it is concerning, whether it is a disability, or if the baby is unhealthy in some way.

It is so silly that people are getting so upset about people wondering if this child might have a disability. Her face is different than a normal baby’s, and that is a cause for worry. If it was your child, would you not also be worried? Or would you bury your head in the sand? Because eventually you will have to face the truth one way or the other.

  11. Ashley says:

I agree, I have seen pics of the baby, and I also think she has DS.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I do think when they parents are ready, they will let everyone know, in their own time. She is beautiful regardless.

  12. NJ1Girl1 says:

This baby looks like she has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome or Down’s.

  13. Angel says:

I happen to know someone from the family and the baby does have down syndrome. This baby is a gift from God no matter what the condition.

  14. annaobscura says:

Cynthia Nixon’s partner’s baby Max looks like he has Down Syndrome as well.

  15. Angel says:

If she does have Down’s Syndrome or Autism, they chose not to abort!!!

    God bless them for that:)
