Madonna is the cover star of Interview magazine for its May 2010 issue.
I’m kind of disappointed the shoot shows Madonna sporting an eye patch, brass knuckle, and lace glove, and yet there’s no sign of a strap-on. After last week’s Christina Aguilera video, and the only analyis I could fathom, I’m frothing at the mouth to see Memaw break out the rubber and show someone what for. This is all in my head, you understand, and so I’m not expecting you to take me seriously. Strap-ons are always kept out of shot, so the pictures stay PG-13, duh.
The cover was shot in February of this year, by famed photo duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott who also shot Madonna for POP magazine. The 51-year-old was interviewed by director Gus Van Sant about his film Milk, her early career, and her involvement in Malawi. The cover is styled after her 1983, first, self-titled, album Madonna shot by Gary Heery. Click the pic for a slightly larger version.

Some people will beat me within inches of my life for saying this but this particular shot actually works for her. She looks powerful and threatening while still conveying beauty and femininity.
