The Grammy Awards were rather uneventful. No one got arrested (that I know of), no one got crunk and crazy stealing anyone else’s moment onstage, and no one effed up too badly. There was little to report except samey performances and fashion misses. So, before I retire to my hovel, all you’re getting from me is a half-assed commentary on both. Be sure to check out the Pre-Grammy pAArty, Grammy red carpet arrivals, the Jackson kids accepting their father’s award, Pink and Beyonce performing, and Lady GaGa and Elton John’s duet.
The list of winners for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, 2010, is as follows…
- Song of the year: Beyonce – Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)
- Best country album: Taylor Swift – Fearless
- Best new artist: Zac Brown Band
- Best comedy album: Stephen Colbert – The Greatest Gift Of All
- Record of the year: Kings Of Leon – Use Somebody
- Best rock album: Green Day – 21st Century Breakdown
- Best rap/sung collaboration: Jay-Z, Rihanna & Kanye West – Run This Town
- Best female vocal performance: Beyonce – Halo
- Album of the year: Taylor Swift – Fearless
Notice the list is a little short, yeah, me too and we weren’t the only ones. These were the announcements made during the three-hour ceremony. That pissed people off, as did wasting gas money for some 3D glasses that will now only serve as over-priced bookmarks. The whole ceremony was a swing and a miss. Boo.
