Linkin Park Supporting Haiti with Charity Album

Linkin Park has put together a charity album. The compilation is comprised of artists including Peter Gabriel, Alanis Morissette, and Dave Matthews Band.

Linkin Park and their charity organisation Music For Relief joins the growing list of high profile names supporting the Haiti relief efforts; aiding those also struck by the 6.1 quake, yesterday morning. Their widget allows you to show support.

Pop Eater spoke to Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda about Download to Donate, a compilation of unreleased songs: “I saw the images on the news, and I knew that Music for Relief had to do something. Our organization was started for the purpose of providing relief to people who had been hit by natural disaster. We started it after the tsunami in South Asia in 2005, and when we heard about the earthquake in Haiti, it was obvious to my band mates and me that we had a responsibility to do something.”

The songs are in their widget, which’ll let you decide how much to donate.
