Listen to Lindsay Lohan’s hacked real voicemail messages from her phone.
To be clear this story originates from 2008 but it has come to people’s attention again as nothing sets the fans’ pulses racing like an unfathomable invasion of privacy.
AnimalNewYork.com and Gawker.com posted stories about how in 2008 and not on a coke-binge Lindsay Lohan made the choice to display her real phone number and email on her Facebook page. At the time she had 111 friends and went by the romantic assumed name Lindsay Ronson.
As this is the effing Internet, it should come as no surprise that the number got into the hands of some rather unsavoury people and they set about hacking into Lohan’s mailbox for sh*ts and giggles. Mostly sh*ts.
It was not all that hard to hack, the password to her mailbox was still at its default number of 1234. The number which, along with 0000, is the go-to for most phone companies. The same companies who assume that you will not go phone shopping under the influence and leave the security settings as they are out of the box.
In the video, above, by AnimalNY, you can hear strangers who happened upon the number. They beg her for her time by giving out their own numbers and one also gives out a MySpace. You also hear Michael Lohan calling and revealing that daughter Ali turned down an invite to spend time together. So he turns to oldest daughter Lindsay and is heard trying to woo her by telling her he stopped off at a roadside 7-11 and picked up a CD with her track on it. He even puts the phone to his car stereo speaker so she can her. Listen to the clip. It’s all kinds of pathetic.

“they set about hacking into Lohan’s mailbox for sh*ts and giggles. Mostly sh*ts.”
For some reason, I found that totally hilarious.
Thanks. I assumed that they would do it for one of those two reasons – you wouldn’t really assume you were going to be giggling at a cokehead’s voicemail, which only leaves…
