So, That’s The Real Reason Lindsay Lohan’s Allowed Back Into The Chateau Marmont

The Daily claims that Lindsay Lohan basically ‘forced’ producers of Liz & Dick to clear the $46,000 unpaid bill at the Chateau Marmont that got her banned for a time this year. Because she would only shill for Lifetime during an interview with Barbara Walters on the condition production foot the bill. Really. Remember, about a week ago, Lohan was somehow no longer barred from the hotel in a story where TMZ.com basically made it sound like she blew her way back in by going over the head of the person who banned her. Well, that probably happened too, but the story missed the point that the bill actually got paid by Lifetime in return for Lohan agreeing to the no holds barred interview with Walters.

Lindsay Lohan agreed to be interrogated by Barbara Walters to promote Liz & Dick because the film’s producers agreed to pay her overdue $46,000 bill at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood… Lohan was thrown out of her favorite hotel in August after living there for 47 days, and racking up such charges as $3,100 for the mini-bar, and $686 for cigarettes. The troubled actress claimed the producers of Liz & Dick were supposed to pay the bill. The producers need Lohan to promote the made-for-TV movie. ‘She had them over a barrel,’ one source said. ‘She demanded that the hotel bill be cleared up.’ And it was. Her interview with Walters, yet to be taped, is scheduled to air Nov. 16 on 20/20. A source expounds that the movie’s producers and Lohan are as bad as each other, using and blackmailing one another, because the biopic desperately needs the promotion and Lohan’s contract doesn’t include that much marketing. ‘Part of Lindsay’s contract with the producers of Liz & Dick was that she was not to do any press to promote the movie before it aired,’ said the source. ‘But when Lindsay requested that production pick up her hotel bill [weeks ago] the producers said they’d be more than happy to pick up the tab. But, in exchange, Lindsay would have to agree to a sit-down interview to promote the movie. Lindsay wasn’t happy about it [at all and it being no holds barred], but realized that she was stuck and agreed to do it. There will be no questions that are off limits and expect Walters to grill Lindsay about her personal life, recent arrest, and fight with her mother Dina… Producers picked Walters for the interview, not Lindsay. The interview will be conducted with producers of the project present when Walters interviews Lindsay. Walters has agreed to delve into Lindsay’s role as Liz Taylor, and not let the actresses personal life override the interview.’

She won’t show up. The bill has been paid, she won’t hold up her end.
