OMG. OMG. OMG. I was totally gonna go and see ‘Terminator Salvation’ anyways, as it presented a rather nice opportunity to sit and stare at Christian Bale for two hours.
But now it seems the movie gods are smiling down on me and have given me another reason to watch; star of Terminator 1 and Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Linda Hamilton, has been confirmed to appear in ‘Salvation’ too.
Now, this is quite thoroughly awesome, for those in any doubt. Hamilton started off as a soft and squishy 80’s girl in the first movie, but was chiseled in a Madonna kind of way and could have crushed a man with her thigh muscles by movie two. I am so excited that Hamilton is in talks to beef up this bad boy.
At New York Comic Con Hamilton told MTV News that “she was in talks to do a voice over for McG’s Terminator Salvation, but that they hadn’t come to terms and that she hadn’t yet read the material. It turns out that in the month since then she’s definitely read it – right into the movie.”
Also, a source confirms to Chud that “Hamilton’s voice over is in the film, and that it works very well in context. Her voice over is not long, and it comes at the very beginning of the movie; the source compared it in tone and style to her voice over in T2.”

Oh please Mystery Man, don’t be so naive. Why is it that whenever people try to improve a series, the diehards crawl out of the woodwork and whine till its release? I’ll admit T3 wasn’t exactly the best movie, but be willing to reconsider for TS shiny new premise. As for Linda in it, just her voice will be enough to bring back memories.

I love that she is coming back to rescue the franchise after the superfluous T3 movie. Her voice over can only be a good thing.
