UK singer, Leona Lewis, has branched out from her singing career into that old faithful celebrity pastime… launching her own fragrance. The songstress, who is very conscious of political and environmental issues, has teamed up with German beauty brand LR to launch a self-titled “ethical” scent that will be available later in the year [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
According to The Sun.co.uk:
“Leona has had a lot of approaches about launching her own perfume, but she wanted to make totally sure she would be working with an ethical company.
“She has had a big hand in helping to create the fragrance and the design of the bottle and now she can’t wait to see it in the shops.”
The singer has produced a promotional video for the scent. In the clip she says the following of the venture:
“I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to work on such an exciting project.
“I am passionate about what I do and it is important for me to give the best I can to my fans all of the time. I love my new fragrance and I already love LR.”

normally i’d say this is a way to keep her fame going, but Leona just got some fame last year. has her career taken that much of a downturn, or is she really into making frgrances?
