Lea Michele Not Ready to go Nude for PETA Ad

Lea Michele, from Glee (a show that damn near turned me into a gay man during its Madonna special), has spoken about whether she’d ever go nude for PETA.

The animal charity seems to have super powers, which I can only liken to roofies or booze, when it comes to getting female celebrities to take off all their clothes. Within about seven days of each other, we saw a naked Stephanie Pratt and a nude Olivia Munn. Neither of the women had more than a well-positioned leg or arm to preserve their modesty. Michele is more interested in belting out renditions of obscure songs than taking off her clothes. Perhaps also wary of alienating young fans, the 23-year-old actress says she is not ready to strip.

Michele did a rather conservative PETA ad [but says] a racier campaign is something she might do in the future. “I have a couple of years ahead of me to do stuff like that,” she says. “Who knows what I’ll do in the future with them.” Until then, she feels anti-fur ads are plenty effective without nudity. “Here’s the thing,” she said, “I hope you can get the word out there without a huge billboard of me taking my clothes off.” [Pop Eater]

Pictures show Lea Michele on the 18th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar party red carpet at Pacific Design Center West Hollywood, CA March 7, 2010.

  1. Well, good for her, and I hope she never does. She is a beautiful young girl.

    Colin.

    1. Agreed, she has a point. Stripping has nothing to do with the cause. I hope she keeps her clothes on!
