The LAPD has been formally accused of leaking the Rihanna injury pictures to the media.
You will remember from a while back all the annoying effery to do with the alleged beating of Rihanna by her former partner Chris Brown. Well, there has been a new development and Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos filed a motion late on Wednesday in the Los Angeles Superior Court, seeking access to internal LAPD records.
The lawyer says that the photo of the beaten and bruised ‘Umbrella’ singer, full name Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was illegally leaked to the media by an LAPD Officer and that the image being in the public domain is harmful to his client. He continues that this means the case should be dismissed.
Prior to the photo being leaked to TMZ the motion states, “Ms. Fenty requested that the police reports related to this incident be kept confidential, and a Request for Confidentiality of Information was completed.”
However, that wasn’t enough to protect her privacy as an alleged crime victim. Geragos states, “I’m informed and believe that on or about February 19, 2009, a photograph taken by the LAPD depicting physical injuries on Ms. Fenty’s person was illegally leaked to the media. Specifically, I am informed and believe that this highly prejudicial photograph was sold by an LAPD officer to the entertainment website, TMZ. The photograph was immediately viewed by hundreds of thousands of viewers and was displayed on every news channel for several weeks. In fact, the photograph still remains on the TMZ website. The purpose of the leak was necessarily for profit and to vilify Mr. Brown and poison the potential jury pool.”
Sources close to Chris Brown tell RadarOnline.com that ongoing plea talks with the district attorney are moving forward, but there isn’t a resolution, yet. Chris Brown’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 28th, 2009. (via Radar)
Sweet jeebus, who did not see this coming. If anyone goes to trial over this case it’s gonna be me, cos Imma go postal if even one more of these over-paid scumbags makes the law an arse. Spare me the formality of this case and just let him walk already. Who do the legals involved think they are fooling. SMH.

What the fuck ever. I want this nonsense to be over. I am so sick of Chris and his woman beater ass. He would get off whether the photo was leaked or not. TMZ probably paid SO much for that photo and all the cops got a nice cut. They should be ashamed.
