Lady Gaga may be all buck toofs and bleached weaves, but that doesn’t mean she is not dedicated to her craft [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
Gaga has revealed that she is basically willing to give up EVERYTHING for her work and sees music as more important than her personal life.
“Ultimately, you have to give up everything for your craft. If you’re really serious about making music and being an artist as a full-time career, I would give up absolutely everything else and go for it.
“I don’t have relationships, I don’t really party anymore at all; I spend every breathing moment making music and designing for the show and holding rehearsals… It’s a bit psychotic.”
SAY WHAT! There is no way in holy heck that I would ever give up my pathetically dwindling social life for a music career. I mean, after spending near 12-hours per day online and attempting to shoehorn in eating and sleeping somehow, I only have like 20 minutes per day to socialise. I spend all 20 at Chace Crawford’s house doing terrible things to him and… wait, where was I… Oh yeah… there is NO WAY I would sacrifice my private life for work.

so, all those successful music acts that had signifiganto thers during their success did it the wrong way, huh? This statement alone proives she’s a clone of Christina from that afro she was sporting back in the day. Damn evil twin doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Not like she’s a household name anyway…lol
Hi MM. Hahahahaha…. the evil twin who hides beneath her afro of shame. Nice.
Christina is getting left in the shadows by her twinsy. I smell a plot brewing.
either that, or she’s holding off until she gets her new album totally done and comes back with yet another look. personally, i think she should have kept the vintage pin up look she had going
Good question!
Investing in one’s career is just that, an investment. It is worth it in the long run if the time you dedicate to your craft pays off down the road. And the music industry is hard, it’s good that she’s trying so hard now because she knows that a few years and albums from now, she’ll be making all her money via perfumes, clothing lines and the like. She has to fight now to make herself a household name, then just cash the checks later.
Also, I gave away her cd on my site and I LOVE IT! I was very impressed with her album and I didn’t expect much from her because I don’t like “Just Dance.”
That is so true about the music industry paying belated dividends in the form of product endorsements… I guess she got a lucky break and is trying to get out there to as many people as possible. I am always pained to be nice about over-exposed celebs but she is doing an amazing job of promoting herself at the ‘right’ places, here in the UK. The press are loving her!
I saw that giveaway. I am always so GD jealous when people have fabby prizes on their site when I’m too new to get such cool free deals to give away… I am not too crazy about ‘Just Dance’ either, though ‘Poker Face’ is growing on me… maybe I should check her CD out and give her a proper listen?
