Kim Kardashian the OK! Magazine Beauty Editor

Kim Kardashian the OK! Magazine Beauty Editor

Kim Kardashian has finally gotten a job and can silence the people who have wondered what the hell she is famous for all these years. She is temporarily hanging up her butt pads in order to work as a Contributing Beauty Editor for one of the few women’s publications that has not yet folded, OK! magazine.

Kardashian, who is soon to be an aunt as her big sister Koutney prepares to have a child around Christmas time, will begin as a staffer later in the year. Her first project is said to be at New York’s Spring Fashion Week this September.

“I’m really looking forward to being a part of the team at OK!,” Kim said in a statement Monday. “Now the types of tips I’ve given on my own blog can be seen by an even wider audience. I’ve always loved beauty, so opportunities like this and the upcoming partnership with Lighthouse feel like natural, perfect fits.”

Publisher Lori Burgess adds, “We are proud to welcome Kim to OK! She represents Hollywood’s new breed of celebrity — transforming her star status into a legitimate brand and business.” (via Pop Crunch)

Sorry but unless her makeup artists, hair stylists and fashion consultants will be sitting in the room with her as she writes those beauty articles, I won’t be taking any advice from her. Seriously. It’s hard for me to take someone seriously as a writer or as well versed in certain subjects when they don’t even dress themselves. Get some Joe-anna Schmoe off the streets who does her own hair, makeup and styling everyday to write for the mag and I MIGHT be down with it.

    1. This is a nice, easy job. She’ll totally have help though. A lot of help. It’s like when a celeb does a “fashion line”. They are there in name only, and don’t have the brain cells to do any of the real hard work… but, at least she is actually doing any job (and by that I mean taking a rare editorial position off of someone more qualified).

good for her. she may not be famous for any real talent (not counting her ass and sex tape) but unlike those Hills bitches, Paris Hilton, etc. she’s actually likable (and drop dead gorgeous).

at first glance at that pic, i thought it was daisy fuentes, i think its the blonde hair mixed with her skin tone and the fact that i didn’t let me eyes focus enough on the pic…lol

Wow, ha. It’s making my eyes go funny as well. Damn, I miss her dark hair :(

Gee, I wonder how she got this gig?

Also, OK! is a tabloid, not a woman’s publication. :) Luv the AG. :)

    1. Also, OK! is a tabloid, not a woman’s publication. :)

No. It’s a publication in at least the loose defination of the word. A thick and high quality print job. And in the UK, it’s pretty heavily marketed at women.

In the UK, the word “tabloid” only really refers to newspapers. Not magazines. Tacky, low brow newspapers to be specific. For example, the Sun is a tabloid. I’m not American as you know, so I don’t feel the need to use American phrasing :)

P.S. Love you too, FC xoxo
