Kim Kardashian has been keeping the People Magazine cover Kanye West put in there warm by wrapping herself in furs which obviously made PETA mad because fur is only supposed to keep baby animals warm. And People covers aren’t animals! Here’s PETA’s statement about these photos of the couple taken in Paris on Monday: ‘Children naturally identify and empathize with animals. So even though Kim and Kanye will undoubtedly serve as poor examples when it comes to kindness toward animals, perhaps their child will take after Aunt Khloe and choose kindness by rejecting fur. Children who come from greedy, self-absorbed parents could follow their lead or break away and be alienated from and disgusted by them. Kim is a commodity: She is paid to wear things like fur or a particular makeup and to shake hands with dictator, so she is not a good example for a child or anyone else of how to show a social conscience. Thankfully, this child will be growing up in a time when most people know how blatantly cruel it is to buy a coat made from someone else’s skin…so there is hope.’
