Lamar Odom is reported to be playing hard ball in his prenup negotiations.
The sport star has already walked up the aisle with his partner of one month, reality star Khloe Kardashian. However, Odom’s said to be reluctant to make their fake wedding real until the final details of who gets what in the agreement were hashed out.
Odom has a fancy-pants lawyer who is ready with a bear trap, should Kardashian go on a rampage after finding out that her partner is not willing to budge/ share his wads of money. Being that professional athletes sweat and poop money, it’s not surprising that Kardashian is said to be expecting some form of financial split should the couple break up. However, reports coming out of his legal camp and assumptions that are being made based on his actions aren’t good. Especially considering the two are still not legally married, and the ceremony was a week ago.
One of the conclusions being drawn is that Odom wants to ensure, following any break up, that the assets he came into the marriage with remain 100% his. This may be because he has a baby mother, two children and child support to think about and none of that involves Bridezilla.
He could lose everything with a flimsy/ no pre-nup, and he is the richer of the two. It’ll be interesting to see what his lawyer Neal Hersh can work out with Kardashian’s people.
