This is news for the same reason Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson fighting is still news. Hearing the same story, while one of the concerned parties is wearing a slightly different outfit once again makes any revelation newsworthy.
The shocker for today is that former alleged coke-addict and former UK singer, Kerry Katona (married name Croft), has seemingly been caught up in a Kate Moss-style coke scandal. The 28-year-old mother can be seen in a video from News of the World (who else) as she allegedly snorts coke in the bathroom of her house.
Clicking on the video you can see what appears to be Katona walking into the bathroom of her family home, as captured on a hidden camera. The footage is reportedly from last Wednesday. She appears to walk towards a tray of white powder and then she appears to take a snort after arranging the powder into a straight line. The end of the video shows NotW backing up their claims with images of Katona’s bathroom from her MTV show and a picture of her in the same outfit, later that day, as she got her kids from school.
Now, it should be said that this is NotW. The last two stories I posted from them needed same-day amends, saying their stories were bogus. After that I stopped bothering publishing news from them. I hate edits like I hate showers. However, they were right with the Michael Phelps drug shame video. They could be right with this.
I’m going to go and ponder this along with the other mysteries of the universe as I sit and furiously massage my temples.
