Kendra Wilkinson Had Postpartum Depression‎

Kendra Wilkinson strikes me as many things. However I’m going to assume she’s not making light of women with real post-baby issues, in order to boost ratings for her TV show. According to OK! magazine, new mother Wilkinson will be seen on the premiere of her March 14, 2010 E! show discussing post-birth blues. She gave an interview with OK! magazine, in which she spoke about how she went through and overcame depression after giving birth to baby son Hank Baskett Jr.. on December 11, 2009. Some excerpts are shown below.

  • [OK! asks] You and hubby Hank Bassett welcomed Hank, Jr. on Dec. 11. When did you realize something was wrong: After giving birth, I never brushed my hair, my teeth, or took a shower. I looked in the mirror one day and was really depressed. I thought, “Look at me!” I had this glamorous life in L.A., and now [in Indianapolis] I didn’t.
  • How bad it got, and what sound like suicidal thoughts: A couple of times, I even said, “I just have nothing to live for.”

After sharing these heartbreaking stories Wilkinson then goes on to whine more about her unglamorous and cold life in, not-sunny-California, Indianapolis.
