This made so little sense, that I had to post it and get others’ feedback. Mother of the late Jett Travolta, and wife to John Travolta, Kelly Preston, returned to work six months after her son’s death at the behest of Miley Cyrus. Think about that. Someone over the age of 12 did anything asked of them by Cyrus.
Jett, 16, passed away in January 2009. Sometime around that Summer, the still-grieving mother made a return to work on a movie with Cyrus, The Last Song.
She made the decision “because Miley [Cyrus] asked me herself to play her mom,” Preston, 47, tells People. “I was really moved. It was the perfect movie to sort of get my feet wet.” As they filmed the Nicholas Sparks drama in Tybee Island, Ga., last summer, “Julie Anne [Robinson, the director], Adam [Shankman, the producer] and Miley took such great care of me,” says Preston, who brought her daughter Ella Bleu, 9, along for the trip. “They were wonderful with my schedule. I just worked a little bit.”
But she spent a lot of time bonding with Cyrus off screen. “We’ve been friends for awhile,” Cyrus told People in January. “We got even closer on this movie so it was cool to spend the summer with people you really like.”
“I love her so much,” Preston says. “[Miley]‘s such a good girl.” [People]
If Cyrus asked me nicely to roll around in her $50 dollar bills, that I could keep, I’d tell her to go eff herself. She annoys me that much. At least Preston had a grieving period. Unlike another celebrity mother who also lost their son, and was back on stage just days after his funeral. Yeah, I don’t get this… at all, people.
