Katy Perry Cosmopolitan Magazine August 2009

Katy Perry Cosmopolitan Magazine August 2009

Katy Perry covers and gives interview with Cosmopolitan’s August 2009 issue.

This is the first magazine or other shoot that I have seen little miss sunshine do, where she is not dressed as a piece of fruit or a Christmas tree decoration. The singer is marginally less interesting when she does not have her substantial bubies hanging out of her clothing, but she held some one’s interest long enough for them to scan those mothers in, so that’s good enough for me.

Despite being dressed like your mother when she puts her best dancing shoes on, the star still looks mildly foxy in her tight, purple zipped number. Have to say that unless Perry is dressed like a banana or perhaps as a watermelon again on her next cover, she’ll be getting no love from me.

Interview snippets from the magazine are below (she makes with the yawns).

  • Katy on finding success: “I gave myself until 25 to make it. And if it didn’t happen, I thought I’d just try to find a husband.”
  • Katy on balancing her career and personal life: “I sacrifice in my love life and social life, but those things will be there in three or four years. This is a really important time in my life. I can’t just be the girl who sang ‘I Kissed A Girl.’ I have to leave a legacy.”

i miss her fruity clothing, although with all that purple, i want some grapes now…lol

i guess they did this shoot to focus more o her beautiful face and not so much her smokin’ bod. i could be wrong, though.

how much you wanna bet she has some kind of fruity undies on under that getup,…lol

    1. She does have a gorgeous face and we can see it, when not distracted by her (sometimes cute) goofy clothing *swigs grapejuice*. Also, she so is wearing fruity underwear.

She’s 24 years old, do you really expect her to be taken seriously by going through life dressed as Chiquita Banana? I’m glad she’s adopting a more grown-up style, if you want to be treated as an adult, then look like one.
