In the quickest anything ever, the divorce of Katie Holmes from Tom Cruise was finalized Monday. E! News reports that a New York judge signed off on the final judgment barely eight-weeks after Holmes filed for divorce to escape her marriage and Scientology. Holmes blindsided Cruise, re-hired her old team, fired the Scientologists hired to mind/ spy on her, and moved into a Chelsea apartment with their six-year-old. Cruise, 50, acquiesced to settlement terms and Holmes has spent every day since at the zoo, at the museum, or wandering aimlessly around NYC on the days she doesn’t have visitation. And now it’s over. A source says of Cruise: ‘Tom is very happy and relieved that he is moving forward. His priority is being a good father and this settlement will make sure that continues.’
