Welcome to the site and thanks for the comment, Angela. I guess it's not like she's got her daughter in that creepy baby nipple tassel T-Shirt or anything. But as a non-mother it just comes off as slightly odd. Good to know this gets the thumbs up from someone with a better sense of mothering skills than Holmes.

Give the mother, or whoever looks after this kid, a break. Allowing kids to wear heels occasionally will not induce lifelong foot problems. My daughter loves heels, preferably with sequins and straps. She has a couple of cute pairs which she wears for parties and other special events. She’ll wear them to make an entrance, then take them off and get on with being 8 years old. The rest of the time it’s sensible, well-fitting shoes, cosy boots and converse. Thinking about it, won’t be long until this little girl can borrow Daddy’s diddy evening shoes will it?

seriously, though, the only little girls I see wearign heels are the ones playing in their mother big sister’s shoes…or the tragic ones that have makup injected into theior faces so that they can be beauty pageant hos and end up like that Carri Prejean chick
