Katherine Heigl has shared with the world the first ever glimpse of the baby she adopted along with husband Josh Kelley.
The pair adopted the 10-month old special-needs baby from South Korea.
They named the baby Nancy Leigh or, as Heigl notes on her Jason Heigl Foundation website, she will go by the nickname Naleigh.
In the photo above the family can be seen together, out and about, with Heigl caught off-guard. The picture to the right shows the baby with her new parents for their first official photo shoot together as a family.
Katherine, Josh and Naleigh are together and doing well,” her rep said in a statement. Naleigh, a special-needs child, “was actually born the day before me in November, which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign,”
Heigl, 30, said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week. Heigl said she named her baby after her mother, Nancy, and her sister, Margaret Leigh, who was also adopted from Korea. (via Us Weekly)

So is it safe to assume that she cannot have kids? or is there another reason?
I assumed the same, that one of both has a medical issue preventing natural children… no official word though.
If that is the case, I feel truly sorry for them, there is nothing on earth that can substitute for holding and caring for your own kid. But I suppose if that is impossible, adopting is a good option.
