Kate Gosselin Fired From Coupon Shilling Job

Kate Gosselin has been fired from the job she made it clear she considered to be slumming because anything outside of working on television is apparently beneath her. Which is only surprising to me because 1) they really hired her, rather than it just being a shill, which means they really fired her 2) she’s been working there for nearly a year. And the CEO has finally realised that someone who considers an honest day’s work slumming is probably not a good fit with the company. Posting an open letter about how much Gosselin sucked and, it sounds like, being a complete b**ch to the other employees, Scott Kluth writes: ‘A series of recent events have made it clear to me that Kate Gosselin and her contributions do not align with the authenticity which we set out to build almost a decade ago… and that Ms. Gosselin is simply not a good fit with the wonderful team and culture at CouponCabin. It’s with this that I am writing to inform you of our decision to discontinue Ms. Gosselin’s feature blog… Ms. Gosselin’s contributions garnered both positive attention and criticism, but, as always, I respect and appreciate your candid opinions, which often encourage us not to lose sight of our mission… to help YOU save money.’ A source (another employee) spells it out so we don’t have to bother reading between the lines: ‘[She was] difficult to work with, often making outrageous demands and just didn’t fit in with the company as a whole. Kate thought that because she was a celebrity she could do or write whatever she wanted, but that’s not the way it works.’
