Kate Beckinsale (pictured above shopping in LA with a friend) has revealed that she is eager to play Catwoman, alongside dishy actor, Christian Bale, in the ‘Batman: The Dark Knight’ sequel [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
Beckinsale has added fuel to the rumour-mill fire, by talking to MTV about her new projects and spilling the beans on her desire to don a pair of cat ears and some cats-eye make-up, in order to play the saucy role. She told MTV.com, “Absolutely, that would be awesome. I’d love to do that.”
Nothing in particular against Beckinsale, it’s just that the irony of such a limp piece of fish playing a role made for a diva is a little too much to bear. Anyone else thinking that Beckinsale is kind of like the British Tofu Paltrow? Totally lacking the inner fire to not eff up the role. Homegirl worked the leather catsuit in ‘Underworld’, but does she really have what it takes to play such a FIERCE part? DISCUSS!

No. I’m with you on her lacking the fire for a feline femme. But, could be worse – Kim Kardashian or Jessica Simpson would be purely physical choices. And then all the male movie goers would have dry mouths from their tongues hanging out of them for two hours.
I say cross over to the musicians for the next cat woman. Pink has the ‘tude and it’s not even an act. If we could rewind Tina Turner a couple decades…
well, she’s proven she can handle a spray on suit, and i’m sure they can work the scriptto make her seem like a better actress than she is.

lol there’s no one that’s a bigger Halle fan that me, but even I thought she shouldn’t claim that movie. The only good thing about it was seeing her slinking around.
