Rumours abound yesterday that John Travolta’s wife Kelly Preston was expecting twins. This, from what I could see, was fabricated entirely by some supermarket gossip rag and there was no proof whatsoever to substantiate the claims. It was pretty obviously just rumour, so I didn’t post it. It went on my Side-Eye Later pile with all the other things I read that day that didn’t ring true. Turns out, I can take it off the pile and start side-eyeing. Preston isn’t having twins.
Several initial reports about her pregnancy pointed to $cientology beliefs about reincarnation and how losing son Jett Travolta would lead them to believe this baby was his second coming. I side-eyed so much reading that I could see my own brain. They prolly don’t believe that, and even if they do I’m not going to bash them for it. Preston is having one baby… or 10. She didn’t say in her statement.
A rep for Travolta, 56, and Preston, 47, slams a new tabloid report claiming that Preston is pregnant with twins. “Totally false,” the rep tells UsMagazine.com. “They are not expecting twins.” [Us magazine]
