John Travolta and Kelly Preston have welcomed their baby son today. Benjamin Travolta was born Tuesday November 23, in a Florida hospital. The baby weighed 8 lbs., 3 oz. Travolta, 56, and Preston, 48, released a statement about the birth, ‘John, Kelly and their daughter Ella Bleu are ecstatic and very happy about the newest member of the family. Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully.’ The family spent the last few weeks getting ready for the baby. ‘I’ve been cleaning out everything in the house,’ Preston said in September. ‘Ella has been helping too. She’s looking forward to being a big sister.’ This is the family’s second son. Travolta and Preston’s son Jett suffered a fatal seizure, at age 16, in January 2009. There’s no confirmation as yet whether the birth was silent as speculated, and whether the family will not communicate with the baby for the first week of his life, in line with Co$ doctrine. ‘The couple will follow the church’s guidelines during delivery,’ a family insider reportedly told Pop Eater’s Rob Shuter. ‘No music, no talking and no screaming will be allowed during the pains of labor. Also their new son cannot be prodded for medical tests or spoken to for the first seven days of his life. You don’t want to do anything that will haunt them for the rest of their lives.’
