John Mayer dated Katy Perry long enough to get into her pants (let’s assume). Then her own friends told People.com he dumped her for getting too attached. It’s a week after the split and Us Weekly is finally taking an asleep-at-the-wheel guess as to how it went down. In short, Mayer doesn’t do feelings unless he’s planning to write a song about you. So what choice did he have but to dump Perry by email that probably went something like this: ‘You can keep the shirts and socks but can I have my Sonicare back, please? Those things aren’t exactly cheap! Oh yeah, I’m already sleeping with other people.’ A source tells Us: ‘Mayer tired of Perry’s hard partying and decided to pull the plug. He dumped her over email. She was furious and really hurt. She was into him, but he wasn’t feeling it.’
