Jessica Simpson has reportedly piled on the pounds in a publicity stunt, dreamt up by her father [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
Jessica and Pimp Daddy, Joe Simpson, have reportedly put all four of their brain cells together in a mammoth effort to come up with a way to make Jess relevant again. Simpson’s efforts at being a cunty country singer have fallen flat on their face, so Plan B is to draw attention to the star in ANY way possible. Even if that means negative or mocking publicity.
According to MSNBC, “She’s loving it. It will probably get her back on covers right when she is a ‘supporting’ act on tour.”
The idea being that Simpson can publicly show off her fuller figure and then shrink back down to her Daisy Duke style scary skinny self… then flog magazine covers, diet pills and a workout DVD!

yeah, she’s that desperate. sad, but true. she looks a bit old in this pic, though. i don’t get how anyone can be this desperate for publicity, especially in this era of celebrity reality shows that relaunch carrers. Just put her on Dancing with the Stars if she needs the pub that bad.

It is so easy, as you say, to get back on the map with something as simple as a reality show.
