In news that will shock precisely no one who has tried to wade through its hilariously inconsistent reviews, the weekend box office for Jennifer’s Body has come in rather far under expectations.
The lovers of the movie’s lead, Megan Fox, were probably hoping that the star’s constant case of the nakeds and her lesbian kissing scene during the movie with co-star, Amanda Seyfried, would bolster sales. However, it seems that after being fooled into watching both Transformers and Trans-fatty Acid: Revenge of the Arteries, movie audiences got a terrible case of the no-no-nos.
To put things in perspective, it lost to the second weekend of a Tyler Perry movie even after a 57% drop in ticket sales. That’s pretty fucking bad. Unless, of course, your name is Michael Bay then it’s pretty fucking awesome. (via The Superficial are like me, but with a chronic case of the funnies)

i’m thinking her stupid comments that she’s been making all year hurt thins thin more than the bad reviews. or it could just be more of a Megan Fox backlash like this summer. She doesn’t watch it she’s gonna be in the Heidi and Spencer boat…lol
I was reading Cele|Bitchy and they suggest the marketing ignored female moviegoers and Fox alienated anyone who would have actually wanted to go anyway. I think they’re right.
And for the rest of us, we all now Megan Fox is hot, but she can’t act.
She also seems to be as intelligent as a lettuce.
So I’m happy with her making cool photoshoots, but I don’t think she’s going anywhere with her acting career….unless she has a lesbian scene with Shakira, now that would be awesome!
She’s killing her own career and a lot of people are blaming her idiocy for sinking this film. I hope her next flops too and perhaps people will stop hiring her.
