Jennifer Lopez and her block are feeling the bite of the recession. Despite her still being covered in jewels at every opportunity and still pimping her new products and perfumes, at least one part of her portfolio has imploded due to the economy. High-end brands are about as in-demand as high-end prossies. No one can afford either at the moment. It’s cheap hookers and cheap velour tracksuits for everybody, until over-priced duds come back into fashion.
Lopez’s camp claims that she is only “temporarily” shutting down the action on her six-year-old Sweetface fashion line.
Sweetface’s spring 2009 collection, which is currently in stores, will be the brand’s last—until the rebuilding period is over, that is. “In light of new company strategies, we have decided to put the Sweetface line on hiatus while we prepare to reintroduce the brand in the near future with new messaging points and an entirely new fashion point of view,” the company said in a statement. This bit of strategery takes the Wedding Planner star out of the fashion business in the U.S. Her JLO by Jennifer Lopez line is currently only sold internationally. (via E! Online)

She used ot have several. She had a cheaper line that everone called BS on as it was in her Jenny from the Block days. Then she later created this line off the back of it. A couture brand that apparently no one wants to buy.
Basically the bitch really doesn’t need any money from these ventures and she cares more about raising her twins. Good for her! J Lo has been a workaholic for decades.
Maybe that’s it. She has been a lot less obnoxious since becoming a mother. Good for her.
