Jennifer Aniston (pictured above on the set of ’Marley & Me’, with co-star Owen Wilson) has stolen the crown for Top Christmas Box Office Movie 2008, from her ex, Brad Pitt [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
Both movies opened on Christmas day. Aniston’s latest film, ‘Marley & Me’, kicked butt and scored a number one at the box office, forcing ex-hubby Brad Pitt’s ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’, into the number 2 position. Which kind of sucks ‘cos from what I have heard, ‘Button’, is the FAR better film.
The Top 5 Christmas Movies were:
- Marley & Me raked in $14.6 million
- Button came in second with $11.8 million
- Bedtime Stories took $10.5 million
- Valkyrie took $8.3 million
- Yes Man took $5.8 million

didn’t hurt that hers was also way shorter and about dogs who most people worship like the ancient Egyptians did with cats…lol
Mystery Man – Good point, maybe it’s just not the kind of movie want to see on Christmas. The dopey dog film won out just for that

Fitness Diva – Jen’s desperation to succeed in this film was so apparent, dragging John Mayer around and attending the opening of a book, just to get some publicity. I too am quite glad she got this victory as she clearly needed it on some personal level. Hopefully now that she won out, she will go away and pretend to be publicity shy once again
