The mother of the late Jasmine Fiore, named Lisa Lepore, appeared on The Today Show, to speak about her daughter’s passing and the suicide of Ryan Alexander Jenkins.
The appearance from earlier in the day (August 24, 2009) shows Lepore and also Fiore’s former boyfriend Robert Hasman. The pair were asked about the death of Jenkins on the weekend, given that he was the prime suspect in Fiore’s murder. While on the run, wanted in connection with Fiore’s murder and mutilation in California last weekend, Jenkins was found dead in his room at the Thunderbird Motel in Hope, British Columbia.
In the interview, Lepore says that the death of Jenkins brings her some closure, as she no longer needs to worry about him being on the loose or hurting anyone else. Hasman said of the suicide of Jenkins that he was happy to hear the news. Indeed. Going on to say that he had rather mixed feelings about it all.
The shows Jenkins was set to appear on have been both pulled off the air, Megan Wants a Millionaire on Thursday and I Love Money 3 earlier today.

Totally agreed. Feel so sad for her mother in this interview.
Still she will never know or understand why this animal murdered her daughter. Not that knowing makes it any better, but as a parent I’m sure she will always be haunted by the question.
That is the worst thing about it, she speaks of some form of closure, but actually without him around to answer vital questions it can never really be.
