Absolutely nothing happened this weekend so I watched a bunch of movies instead of doing any work and ended up with Hitchcock, Django Unchained, and Lincoln. Hitchcock was a miss that would have been saved by Scarlett Johansson’s breasts. Django Unchained was better than expected, well-acted, and mercifully-paced for being three hours long, although it felt like Quentin Tarantino was drunk while writing, directing, and scoring some of the movie. And I’m about to watch Lincoln. Django Unchained had a premiere in Rome of which I’m including photos although it’s really an excuse to include this video. I gather some are upset at the use of the N-word in Django Unchained although there’s context to its use and it’s used to a lesser extend in the second half. But if you want an idea of how often the word is used per 30-40 seconds this Spongebob parody with Gary the snail about covers it (WARNING: language).
