Isla Fisher and long-term partner Sacha Baron Cohen have finally gotten married. The news comes after their meeting in 2002 and spending eight years together, a six-year-long engagement, and having daughter Olive together in 2007. The wedding took place in Paris, France, on Monday March 15, 2010. They had a private, traditionally Jewish ceremony in front of close relatives. Some outlets report Cohen was seen wearing his wedding ring in Paris this past Sunday. The 1950s wench in me kind of wants to throw Fisher a pAArty for finally getting this annoying marriage business out of the way. Well done them for doing it without the media fuss, that usually ruins peoples’ big days. Fisher is alleged to have emailed friends, one of whom shared the content with the media.
Isla confirmed the good news in an email to friends: “We did it — we’re married! It was the absolute best day of my life and in so many beautiful moments I missed you all so much. I thought of you as everything was happening, but Sacha and I wanted no fuss — just us!” [OK! magazine]
