HO J Simpson update – he has now been sentenced on his kidnapping/ robbery charges and must serve at least 15 years before he’s eligible for parole [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
According to CBC:
A Nevada judge sentenced O.J. Simpson on Friday to at least 15 years in prison for kidnapping and robbing two sports-memorabilia dealers at gunpoint in a Las Vegas hotel room.
Simpson could be eligible for parole in five years, though experts were still trying to calculate the sentencing total as many of the charges carried concurrent prison terms.
Before the sentencing, Simpson stood and delivered an emotional speech apologizing for his actions and pleading for leniency.
