In the new issue of V Magazine, Kim Kardashian misses the mark by assuming that parlaying porn into a reality franchise is enough to earn her a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame when predecessor Paris Hilton managed no such feat. Moreover, there are already a bunch of people who’ve had reality shows on the Walk so her point is moot. In her head, like I mentioned before, saying you want a star on the Walk is the same as earning one through decades of struggling to make it. Except, you know, not. Exactly this time last year, the Walk’s Facebook page posted this: ‘Someone asked if we give reality show characters stars? Hell to the No! It’s just not on the radar for us right now.’ To which Kardashian responded in V, ‘I think there was a quote where somebody said that reality stars will never get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. So, of course I’m so competitive that I think that it would be a huge achievement and a goal that anyone would want. I would love to break that mold.’ And today, the Walk responded in kind by shading the hell out of her. ‘She has not been nominated. She is a reality star. We don’t do reality stars,’ the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce told Hollyscoop, ‘She needs to get a real acting job then come to us.’

don’t people just pay to get their stars? i’m being serious, i think i heard that somewhere.
Sort of, but that’s missing the point that the person needs to have some pedigree as an entertainer first. Then they pay for the star and its maintenance, if I recall correctly. You don’t just throw money around and buy one.
