Heathers, the awesome 80’s dark teen movie is headed to the small screen, according to Variety. The movie is one of the most loved of all girly teen movies, and is the predecessor of Mean Girls and all the other pretenders that followed.
So good were the lines from the movie, so good were the characters, plot and drama that some turd wants to ruin it by making a newer version. The 80’s were apparently more interesting than the 00’s, as nothing original of note has happened thus far in this flat decade. All we’ve done so far is bring back the 80’s on at least two separate occasions and that’s about all.
Well, the updated version (that had better not suck) is being developed by by FOX, Sony, and Lakeshore Entertainment. I’ve kind of had enough of my childhood and tween memories being raped and pillaged. This is bound to blow and is going to give me a mammoth bout of the sads if it does.

I’ve only seen this thing once. It’s sitting there in my DVD collection and I keep meaning to watch (and review) it, but never get around to it. maybe this weekend?
i’m with you, though, this decade hasn’t done anything worth noting except become the time of remakes (none of which are worth mentioning) and faux celebs…not ot mention the age of rehab and starving celbs! lol
Glad I’m not the only one to notice. We had high hopes for the naugties, but they’ve been rather flat. If you have some time watch it, it’s quite dark and a good larf.
watched it this weekend. wasnt bad, but i didn’t see the humor in it. i must be missing something. still no need for it to be biutch slapped into a TV show, though
It’s not ROTF funny, but there is a dark sarcasm and humour I and others see running through it…
ah…that i did pick up on.
WOrds cannot express my disgust.
Word!
