There’s not much to say about this one, other than the plot does seem super contrived and another pathetic excuse to pump up ratings on an otherwise boring show. I should imagine making an effort and writing a good show would do more for ratings than sloppy faux-lesbian kisses. But what do I know, I just write about this stuff.

TOTALLY contrived. I actually like the show and even like Hayden’s character, but this weak little twist is utterly dismissible. How nice (by which I mean ‘pathetic’) that we’re still jocking the Girls Gone Wild/fauxmosexual allure. Why not a REAL lesbian SHero? Or better yet, one that’s part of a couple? I won’t go so far as to wish for Sylar and the fat cop to make out. That’d NEVER happen…at least not on screen.
I love the point you make, about just having a character on the show who’s gay. Or having enough respect for some viewers’ sexuality to acknowledge a gay couple; rather than making a lesbian kiss taboo and over-sexualised hype.
