Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that not everybody in the world loves limp broccoli. Well, perhaps referring to the actress as broccoli is a little inaccurate - so, you could say that some people are jealous because Gwynnie is as sexy and exiting as a giant slab of tofu.
Tofu Paltrow took to her GOOP website to talk about a “frenemy” who used to be in her life. Tofu says the person was pretending to be her friend for some time, but was actually hell-bent on destroying both her and her limp cabbage of a career.
Back in the day, I had a “frenemy” who, as it turned out, was pretty hell-bent on taking me down. This person really did what they could to hurt me. I was deeply upset, I was angry, I was all of those things you feel when you find out that someone you thought you liked was venomous and dangerous.
I restrained myself from fighting back. I tried to take the high road. But one day I heard that something unfortunate and humiliating had happened to this person. And my reaction was deep relief and…happiness. There went the high road.
Now, where you could suspect that it was in fact I/ Madonna/ Tofu’s own stylist that had it in for her, you would be wrong. Page Six did some digging and they suggest that the not so subtle GOOP reference is actually about Wino 1.0 Winona Ryder.
Before Wino spent her days screaming down the phone to people that she was “NOT Amy Winehouse”, she shared an apartment with Paltrow and competed with her for the lead in ‘Shakespeare in Love’. Let’s wait and see if Wino 1.o fires back something incomprehensible and passive-aggressive through her own media channels.
