It’s time for the weekly edict from the sacred mouth of GOOPY. Promoting Contagion, which premiered at the Venice film festival, Gwyneth Paltrow said she can ‘respect and admire’ those who cheat on their partners. ‘I am a great romantic… but I also think you can be a romantic and a realist,’ she admits, elaborating because she plays a cheating spouse in the movie. ‘Life is complicated and long and I know people that I respect and admire and look up to who have had extra-marital affairs. It’s like we’re flawed; we’re human beings and sometimes you make choices that other people are going to judge. That’s their problem but I think that the more I live my life, the more I learn not to judge people for what they do. I think we’re all trying our best but life is complicated.’ Of her seven year marriage, which produced two kids, she said, ‘I’m lucky; I have a wonderful, blessed life. I have two fantastically delightful children and a very nice husband, so… knock on wood.’ Five photos of Paltrow arriving at the Placido de Casino for the 68th Venice Film Festival September 3.

Okay, fine, when you find your blessed hubby boinking the nanny, I am sure you will not judge.
Goopy will accept the infidelity with dignity and share her wisdom with us when it happens. “Cause that’s just how she rolls.
Sounds like a page out of Leann Rimes defense strategy – “Life is complicated.”
Gosh, I am so glad these kids are around to inform me that life is complicated – I had no f***ing idea!
Okay, so Gwyneth says she knows people she admires that have cheated on their spouses and have been judged unkindly for having done so (how unfair!). So I guess when one of these well respected friends rips their family to pieces and breaks the heart of the person they suppossedly loved, no biggie. Nobody’s perfect. What’s a little infidelity but just a wee boo-boo, an oops if you will. I get it.
When Gwyn is caught in the sack with her lover (and given her attitude, there have probably been many) -and assuming they don’t have a textbook open marriage – Gwen’s husband Chris, likely just says “No problem, sweetie. I know it’s hard to just stay faithful to me. Please continue, and enjoy! I promise I won’t judge you my love. Oh, by the way, I got a couple of girls from my fan club staying over tomorrow night, Would you and your new squeeze mind taking the guest bedroom? I know it’n not quite as nice as the master, but you know life can be hard sometimes. Oh, and be a dear and make sure you have the sheets changed this time. The kids were jumping around on the bed later and they were complaing how gross it was.although iIdid try to explain to them how hard life is and that they shouldn’t judge their Mommy for just wanting to have a little fun.
Speaking of judgements, I think Gyeneth Paltrow’s marriage is probably just a sham (she is NEVER photographed anyhere with him – the guy could be married to someone else with 5 kids). She’s trash – talented goodlooking trash, but still trash. To trivilize infidelity and the lives it destroys by basically referring to it by saying, “nobody’s perfect” is revolting.
She’s played a cheating wife with no apparent remorse in her last two movies and I’m sure she wouldn’t mind getting typecast in that type of role for the rest of her career. The woman has no soul.
