At the end of last week, I pointed out that a spuriously-sourced tabloid rumour about Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale was untrue. Since, you know, the report wasn’t based on anything and didn’t really make any sense (every one calm down). It was just a rumour from the creative fiction department of Star. That said, within 24-hours of the tabloid story coming out, Stefani and Rossdale staged these family photos together which is annoying because it’s only going to make people think they protest too much. The split rumours started January 27 and these photos, that I’m somehow just seeing now, were taken January 28 and 29. So, someone’s rep BBM-ed a bunch of frowny faces along with a link to the Star story, causing the family to pose for these pictures. They were together around Los Angels January 28. They staged pictures kissing in the park Jan 29.

I totally agree that the Star rumor was ridiculous and baseless. But in my opinion,you are also totally wrong to presume that Gwen and Gavin ”staged” these photos-as real fans of the couple know,they are frequently pictured exchanging PDAs during time with their family,not just this past weekend.
I appreciate your opinion.
However, I stick to my broader point: the timing doesn’t look good (I’m commenting on how it looks, not what it really means).
