Grant Bowler Says With A Straight Face: ‘She’s Pretty Much Elizabeth Taylor Reincarnated’

From the little I’ve seen of the Liz & Dick movie-of-the-week with the production value of a first year film student’s homework assignment, it’s poorly acted, poorly scripted, poorly directed, cheap-looking (the make-up looks like she did it herself), and even if you get past all that you won’t be able to look past Lindsay Lohan’s insane coke-bloat. Even if this weren’t a complete crack-mess, it’s still acted by a delusional crack-mess whose coke fumes are clearly being absorbed by the rest of the cast and crew which science tells me is totally a real thing. Lohan says of herself in the role of Liz Taylor’s bloated little sister who wasn’t blessed with the same bone structure nor make-up person: ‘I’m a huge Elizabeth Taylor fan, and I relate to her on a lot of levels: living in the public eye, dealing with the stress of what other people say, whether it’s true or not. I personally understand Liz, because you’re living your life for everyone to see, and people are growing with you. You get to a point where you become numb to it, and you just live your life the way you feel you need to live it.’ To which Lohan’s co-star Grant Bowler, who’s playing Richard Burton, interjects before being carried off by paramedics to be de-coked: ‘She’s pretty much Elizabeth Taylor reincarnated.’
