Futurama Cast Reaches Agreement with Fox

Thank Heavens – just as swarms of fans of the original show were about to throw themselves out of their windows in protest, news has been released that the entire voice cast of Futurama has signed a new contract with Fox.

It had been reported earlier that some p*ss poor negotiating in this horrid economy had led to a stalemate. And the entire cast was told to join the unemployment queue. Fox even went so far as to announce the search for a new cast to replace the old one, in its entirety.

On Friday however, someone took their meds and realised how much the show would simultaneously suck and blow without its real stars. The studio and the actors met somewhere in the middle of the pay offer. The creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen released a joint statement saying, “We are thrilled to have our incredible cast back. The call has already gone out to the animators to put the mouths back on the characters.”

So, it seems I was a little hasty and the new show won’t suck as bad. Yippers.

they came to their senses, huh? or was this just a publicity stunt? they did the same thing with the Simpsons a few years back for the same reason. ended up with some of its highest ratings. Hmmm…

    1. I never heard about the Simpsons thing. It made me really turned off and many fans may now be avoiding therelaunch if they think imposters will be doing the voices.

Hasn’t this cartoon been cancelled in like forever?

    1. It’s been off air for a good few years. I’m quite happy with my box sets or watching bootlegs online of series I don’t have. It’ll be interesting to see where they take the story… but I’m a little confused as to why they are bothering to be honest.
