This is more of a crime of ever having worn horizontal stripes, rather than an all-out fashion fug-off alert. Unless you want to look like you just ate about 100 packets of Jelly Babies (I like Jelly Babies) then you should probably stay away from horizontal stripes, aka fatty stripes.
The women above, the sometime reality star and the sometime actress, wore this dress fairly well; considering it’s hideous and kind of looks like a Magic Eye picture. They both wore it with an unfussy pair of heels and minimal accessories.
Kim Karsashian wore the Nuj Novakhett dress, with a belt to set if off, as she attended a Canadian award show. Melrose Place actress, Ashlee Simpson, wore the dress and set hers off against a red purse as she attended a Paleyfest event this week.

maybe its my love for kim that has me biased here, but i think she wears it better. could be becuse she fills it out better, or the belt, or the red purse that ashlee has ruine it for her, but kim just looks better in it….even if that is a bad picture of her…lol
I think her curves make the difference with the pattern on the dress too… also, I’m with you, her face isn’t great here.
I cannot tell – it just sends me straight back to Catholic School where we were supposed to look at something similar and see the words JESUS in some sort of black and white maze – consequently, I cannot give an opinion as I am staring at both, trying to find the hidden letters……..

The belt makes a huge difference. Frankly, with the belt, I like it. Without it, it is everything awful you say it is.
Welcome back – I agree, the dress needs something to break up that pattern and the belt definitely helps.
I think the belt serves many purposes:
If Kim is attacked, she can pull off her belt, and the attacker will be dazed and deer-in-the-headlights at the full sight of the pattern, while Kim can then beat him about the face and head until he (or she) runs away screaming, then the belt can be calmly reattached and Kim can carry on down the street with the belt helping the dress not frighten any innocent folks into a coma.
To top it off, Ashlee wore white shoes with the alien spaceship dress. No no no no no.
Black shoes help tone down the madness.
