Fresh Controversy as GMA Books Chris Brown

Good Morning America can’t catch a break. They are getting a battering in the media by gay rights groups for cancelling Adam Lambert. They are also under fire from feminists for sending out mixed messages over booking Chris Brown.

Adam Labert, who broke no laws to speak of, was cancelled from their show. A man convicted of felony assault has been booked only days later. Brown is slated to do an interview with Robin Roberts, followed by a performance of songs from his new album. His slot is set to air week after next.

Sources from ABC pointed out the contradiction that a gay male was considered less palatable than Brown, who beat Rihanna until she lost consciousness. There’s no way it’s the morally superior choice to book him after scrapping Lamert’s appearance. The network stood by its decision, as they claimed Lambert proved himself unpredictable on live TV. Brown is fairly unlikely to beat one of his band into submission during their morning taping, I guess.
