Frankie Muniz Couldn’t See Nor Speak During Stroke

Apparently, we’re all at an age where our bodies can quit us professionally. Because debilitating medical conditions that render you temporarily blind like strokes are a thing that can happen at any age. Which means I should preemptively quit my own body and go find a spot in this week’s Hoarders cat lady’s house so my own future cats know where to find me. All to avoid the pant-s**ting terror that is having a stroke in your 20s as did retired Malcolm in the Middle actor Frankie Muniz who was hospitalised the day before his 27th birthday when friends noticed he was ‘acting funny.’ Since it turns out ‘acting funny’ includes becoming temporarily blind and mute. Muniz is pictured above receiving treatment in hospital and he tells People.com about his condition: ‘I consider myself to be very healthy,’ he says, explaining that he got blurred vision while riding his motorcycle ‘I thought I had something on the visor of my helmet. I couldn’t focus out of my right eye.’ But the time he got home, it was worse: ‘I was really dizzy and in a lot of pain in my whole body and my head. My hands were numb. I didn’t really have good balance and I was almost dropping the bike. I never had this before. I was like ‘What’s going on?’ I felt like I was getting stabbed in the head; the worst headache you could ever think of. I couldn’t see anything.’ His fiancee grew concerned, he explains: ’I was saying things and she said, ‘You’re not speaking English,’ It was really weird.’ He says he’s healthy despite eating ‘like a 7 to 10-year-old-kid [and] I never in my life had a sip of alcohol or even touched a drug. I take a lot of pride in that.’ And this mini-stroke may portend another: ‘They say it is usually a warning of maybe what could happen in the future. It’s changed my mentality when I’m going to eat now. I feel a lot less invincible.’
